International Christian Adoptions was thrilled to partner with Thrivent Financial last month to host a showing of The acclaimed documentary, The Drop Box. Thanks to the generous support of Thrivent financial, an entire theater was rented out, and tickets were sold to over 250 guests.
A relationship between Thrivent Financial and ICA was formed when Jeff Crane, a financial consultant for Thrivent, was introduced to Ren Sabio, a pastor and part of the ICA staff. Both were in attendance at a KPRZ pastor appreciation luncheon where Jim Daly, president of Focus on the Family, was the speaker. Jim surprised those attending the luncheon with guests Brian Ivy, the producer of The Drop Box, and Pastor Lee, the pastor whose life is chronicled in the documentary. All the events from the event came together in such a way that by the end of the luncheon, Jeff and Ren were excitedly making plans to host The Drop Box as a fundraiser for ICA.
Thrivent Financial is a not for profit, faith based organization that exists to help Christians to be wise
with money and live generously. They offer a broad range of financial products and services, including life insurance, annuities and mutual funds, plus tailored guidance from financial representatives nationwide. For more than a century, they’ve helped their member-owners show God’s love to others by being good stewards of the gifts they’ve been given. Jeff, who has been with Thrivent for 22 years, said that “it resonates with people that there’s an insurance and investment company for Christians.”
Jeff operates his office out of Oceanside, and says that his personal mission is to “connect good people with great ideas to bless people in the community.”
As part of their blossoming partnership, Thrivent has invited ICA to share a booth with them at the Avocado Festival and Street Fair in Fallbrook on April 19th. The event attracts over 40,000 people each year.
