Foster to Adopt
(America’s Orphans)

While the ultimate goal is to reunify a Foster Child with their biological family, that isn’t always what happens. When a biological parent’s right to a Foster Child or Youth has been terminated, it then gives the opportunity for a Foster Family to potentially adopt the youth or child. Keep in mind this is not always the case and the goal is always to reunify with the biological family when possible.

Foster to Adopt

Relative
Adoption

Relative Adoptions, or Kinship Adoptions, are Domestic Adoptions that take place among family members in the U.S.

Relative Adoption

Private Infant
Adoption
(New Beginnings)

Private Infant Adoptions are U.S.-born infant(s) or children for adoption by their birth parents who legally consent to the adoption with an adoptive family of their choosing.

(Note: During today’s climate, we are seeing fewer birth parents placing their infant(s) for adoption. While there still are possibilities, the availability of infant adoption is few.)

Private Infant Adoption

Indian Child
Welfare Act
(ICWA Adoption)

ICA seeks to find Native American Indian families for native children in the foster care and adoption programs.
